2024 NFL Scouting Combine: What Titans Fans Expect on Thursday

In Indianapolis, following two days of interviews, physical assessments, medical checks, and evaluations, the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine contenders are poised to display their abilities on the field. Among the keen spectators are the Tennessee Titans and 31 other teams.

Kicking off the workout sessions on Thursday will be the defensive linemen and linebackers, engaging in drills like the 40-yard dash and the 225-pound bench press.

According to Pro Football Focus, there’s anticipation that a participant, with dimensions of 6-foot-3 and 254 pounds, could clock in the 40-yard dash around the 4.4 mark, boasting the explosiveness likely to yield impressive results in broad and vertical jumps.

The inaugural invitee from his institution to the Combine, as conveyed to Sports Illustrated, expressed confidence in his presence, stating, “I don’t feel the need to validate my presence here… I know I’m supposed to be here. I’m well aware of the skepticism coming from the FCS background, so the motivation runs deep… The drive is palpable. I’m on par with any other FCS representative here.”

Standing at 6-feet-4, weighing 362 pounds, he garnered accolades such as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and the Outland Trophy, recognizing him as the premier interior lineman nationally. Additionally, in 2023, he clinched the Chuck Bednarik and Dick Butkus awards. Notably, he is the sibling of Bryse Wilson, a pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. Reflecting on his approach, he emphasized the significance of football intelligence, stating, “Natural talent and speed have their limits… It’s the football acumen that sets individuals apart.”
