The Bulls are expressing heightened worries regarding Lonzo Ball’s recuperation, according to an insider.

The Chicago Bulls continue to grapple with injuries, with key players like Zach LaVine and Patrick Williams sidelined for the season, and Torrey Craig missing significant playing time. Lonzo Ball, their intended starting point guard, has been out since January 2022 due to a knee injury, and concerns about his recovery have only intensified over time.

According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, there are growing worries within the Bulls organization about Ball’s progress in rehabilitating his left knee. Despite hopes that he would begin sprinting by January, that milestone has yet to be reached, more than two years after the initial injury. Ball underwent his third surgery in less than two years with the Bulls in March 2023.

While Head Coach Billy Donovan has expressed optimism about Ball’s recovery, acknowledging improvements and a reduction in pain, there’s still a notable absence of sprinting in his rehabilitation regimen. Donovan emphasized that Ball is engaged in shooting, running, and jumping activities, but sprinting remains a crucial milestone yet to be achieved.
