Tennessee managed to retain seasoned defensive line coach Rodney Garner, preventing his return to his alma mater, Auburn, which was considered a significant victory. Garner has a proven track record of developing top-tier defensive linemen, and the returning talent within the defensive front is expected to set the tone for the Vols in 2024.
