According to a survey conducted by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), the Denver Broncos receive high marks in ownership and coaching, but fall short in their treatment of families.

According to an NFLPA survey unveiled on Wednesday, Greg Penner, the CEO and co-owner of the Denver Broncos, received commendations from the team’s players. However, amidst positive ratings, concerns were raised regarding stolen cars, an issue highlighted in the survey results.

In the annual NFLPA evaluation of player experiences with their respective teams, the Broncos secured the 16th position out of 32 teams. The survey revealed instances of “multiple cars” being stolen from the parking lot of the team’s mandated hotel during training camp.

Colorado has been grappling with a surge in car theft cases in recent years, a trend that has been highlighted by national statistics.

The survey, conducted from August to November 2023, garnered responses from approximately 1,700 players.

Denver received favorable ratings in ownership, with Penner earning an exceptional 9.6 out of 10 rating, resulting in an ‘A’ grade. Head coach Sean Payton also received praise, earning an ‘A-minus’ grade. However, the team received lower grades in the categories of treatment of families (graded as ‘D+’) and locker room atmosphere (graded as ‘D’). Notably, efforts to address the latter issue are underway, with a $175 million practice facility upgrade scheduled for completion ahead of the 2026 season.
