Could Kevin Byard Solve Bengals’ Issues at Safety?

CINCINNATI — The Eagles released veteran safety Kevin Byard on Friday.

Could the 30-year-old be a good fit in Cincinnati? The Bengals have their eyes on the safety market.

Byard had 122 tackles and one interception for the Titans and Eagles last season. He’s a two-time All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler.

The Bengals could make a run at Byard in hopes of adding him to a room with Dax Hill, Jordan Battle and Tycen Anderson.

Eagles' Sean Desai says new addition Kevin Byard 'still a really good safety '

Nick Scott is also on the roster, but there’s a realistic possibility that the Bengals move on from him, especially if they sign a veteran.

Byard has played 1,000 or more snaps in each of the past six seasons.
