Isaiah West has made a commitment to join the University of Kentucky.
How about sparking excitement among the BBN with a Yahtzee during spring practice? That’s precisely what occurred today, as the Kentucky Wildcats secured a commitment from 3-star running back Isaiah West.
West took to Twitter to share the news on Friday night.
In the end, West opted for the Cats over offers from Wisconsin, Penn State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan State, and others. ESPN ranks him as high as 297th overall in the 2025 class, also placing him 10th in football-rich Pennsylvania.
Hailing from Philadelphia, West stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 208 pounds. He received an offer from Kentucky in early December, with the Cats quickly rising to the top of his recruitment list. Notably, Liam Coen and Scott Woodward served as the primary recruiters until Coen’s departure to Tampa Bay. Running backs coach Jay Boulware took over and ultimately secured West’s commitment to Kentucky.
The running back position has thrived under Mark Stoops in Lexington, with players like Benny Snell, Chris Rodriguez, and Ray Davis becoming BBN superstars. Now, the staff aims to uncover the next standout to propel the Cats forward. West will join a youthful yet talented running back group, further bolstering its potential.
With this announcement, West becomes the third commitment in the 2025 class, joining QB Stone Saunders and WR Quintin Simmons.
