Milwaukee Bucks: Doc Rivers Provides Significant Injury Update Regarding Khris Middleton Before Bulls Matchup

The Milwaukee Bucks will once again be missing Khris Middleton on Friday night as they go up against the Chicago Bulls. Middleton, a three-time All-Star, will be sidelined for his 10th consecutive game due to an ongoing ankle injury.

In a press briefing ahead of Friday’s game, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers provided an important update on Middleton’s injury situation, offering fans some optimism about the 32-year-old’s anticipated return.

Earlier in the week, Rivers had indicated that Middleton might join the team for their current two-game road trip. However, the Bucks ultimately decided to keep the 6-foot-7 small forward in Milwaukee to continue his ankle rehabilitation.

Nevertheless, there is positive news as Middleton has been increasing his activity levels in preparation for his comeback. According to team reporter Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Rivers mentioned that Middleton underwent a rigorous workout in Milwaukee the previous day, indicating that he likely won’t be available for the upcoming game.

Despite not providing a definite timeline for Middleton’s return, the fact that he engaged in an “intense” practice session on Thursday suggests that his comeback is nearing.

The Bucks will next play on Monday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers, and there’s a strong possibility that Middleton could be back for that home game. Following that, Milwaukee faces a challenging four-game road trip in California against the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Clippers once more, and the Sacramento Kings. Middleton’s availability for this demanding stretch will be crucial for his team.
