The Falcons sign offensive lineman Ryan Neuzil to a one-year contract extension.

The Falcons have expressed satisfaction with the performance of guard/center Ryan Neuzil during his time with the team in Atlanta, leading them to secure his presence on the roster for the 2024 season.

As an exclusive rights free agent (ERFA) due to his accumulated two or fewer seasons and an expired contract, Neuzil had limited bargaining power. The Falcons exercised their exclusive rights by extending him the league minimum qualifying offer, thereby committing him to another season with the team.

Neuzil joined the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and spent the entire season on the practice squad, which did not count toward his service time. He signed a futures contract in 2022, returning to the practice squad before earning a promotion to the active roster in Week 9 of that season.

In the 2023 season, the Appalachian State alum earned a spot on the active roster out of training camp and appeared in all 17 games, starting four at the center position. Neuzil demonstrated reliability in his limited playing time, with 203 snaps logged and no sacks or quarterback hits allowed. His versatility to play both guard and center, coupled with the favorable impression he has made on offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford, bodes well for his chances of securing a roster spot in 2024.

Expected to contribute as an interior offensive lineman and special teams player, Neuzil is anticipated to carry only a minimal cap hit. If he continues to impress in the 2024 season, the Falcons will have the option to retain him for the 2025 season, as he will become a restricted free agent next offseason.
