Twins make public their initial eight spring training roster reductions.

The Minnesota Twins have disclosed their initial spring training cuts, informing four pitchers, two catchers, and two other players that they will be shifted to the minor league camp. The eight players affected are: left-handed pitcher Jovani Moran, right-handed pitchers Randy Dobnak, Ronny Henriquez, and Ryan Jensen, catchers Alex Isola and Pat Winkel, first baseman Aaron Sabato, and outfielder DaShawn Keirsey. All eight were non-roster invitees and were not anticipated to secure spots on the team’s roster following spring training.

As opening day approaches on March 28, the Twins are required to finalize a roster of 26 players, with no more than 13 pitchers. This roster size can be maintained through August’s end, after which September call-ups will allow teams to expand their roster to 28 players, with a limit of 14 pitchers.
