Currently, they lag behind the Tampa Bay Lightning by 10 points for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, with slim playoff chances remaining and only 20 games left in the regular season.

One player drawing interest from contending teams is Sabres captain Kyle Okposo. While it’s conceivable that the Maple Leafs may inquire about his availability, they would be wise to refrain from doing so. According to the THW’s Trade Bait List, other star players like Pavel Buchnevich and Adam Henrique could be more viable targets for them.
