Olympic athlete Simone Biles responds to her husband’s transfer in the NFL’s free agency by joining the Chicago Bears.
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus and his team find themselves amidst the whirlwind of NFL free agency. With several uncertainties to address this offseason, notably regarding the quarterback position with current starter Justin Fields and their top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, the Bears are also focusing on strengthening other areas of their roster, particularly on defense.
In a recent development on Tuesday, it was announced that the Bears would be acquiring free agent safety Jonathan Owens, who previously played for divisional rival Green Bay Packers. This news was first disclosed by his agent, Sunny Shah, to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, as reported by Bleacher Report.
Notably, Owens is the spouse of renowned Team USA gymnast and Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles, who expressed her enthusiasm for his decision via her social media account on X.
“CHICAGO HERE HE COMES,” Biles shared.
Additionally, Biles took a moment to extend her gratitude to the Green Bay community for their support over the years.
