Assessing the Steelers’ activity during the 2024 free-agency period on ‘NFL Total Access’.

The AFC North teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, have been active during the offseason, restructuring their lineups by acquiring players who previously played for their division rivals.

Geno Stone transitioned from the Ravens to the Bengals.

The Steelers have notably recruited former rivals this offseason. Initially, they made a significant move by signing Patrick Queen from the Ravens. Subsequently, they added former Ravens safety DeShon Elliott to their team.

Now, the Cleveland Browns are joining this trend.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on March 14, the Browns are signing linebacker Devin Bush to a one-year contract.

Bush, who was drafted 10th overall by the Steelers in 2019, spent the first four years of his NFL career with them.

The Steelers’ decision to draft Bush in 2019 was considered a disappointment.

In order to secure the 10th pick in the draft, the Steelers traded away their 20th overall pick, the 52nd overall pick, and a third-round pick in the 2020 draft.

Unfortunately, their investment did not yield the expected results.

Bush’s rookie season started promisingly, with 109 tackles, nine for a loss, and two interceptions, earning him third place in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting for 2019.
