PENRITH ruined Papua New Guinea’s Cinderella tale on Sunday at ANZ Stadium by crushing them 42–18 in the NRL Interstate Championship.
Tony Satini scored four tries in the opening forty minutes, and the NSW Cup premiers went on the rampage, virtually winning the match at halftime, 38–2.
Coach Garth Brennan, who has won two NSW Cup championships and an under-20s premiership while leading the team at the base of the Alps, added another feather to his cap with the triumph.
Brennan, who is a strong candidate for the vacant Gold Coast NRL coaching position, made a strong statement with his eight tries to three tries flogging.
