Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s Wall Just Got A Lot Bigger

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was done early last season after an injury to his wrist. The team’s brass are doing their best to protect him to prevent that from happening again.

The best way, perhaps, is to put larger and more skillful blockers in front of him

As they continue to better their team through free agency, the Bengals have signed offensive tackle Trent Brown to pair with Orlando Brown up front. Although the two are not related, they might be the perfect pair.

Both Browns are 6-8 and weigh a combined 715 pounds. That’s a large wall of humanity.

Per ESPN, the last time an offensive line duo was that large was in 2009 when Minnesota Vikings offensive linemen Phil Loadholt and Bryant McKinnie were on the same field at the same time.

Cincinnati signed Trent to a one-year deal on Tuesday, and Brown cited the team’s culture as one of the things that drew him there.

“That was a huge thing right there,” Brown explained. “Just being where we came from, where people would get out of there for a release any chance we had. … I’ll be able to just enjoy coming to work on a day-to-day basis and that was important as well when we talk about fit.”

Brown came to the NFL as a seventh-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and spent three seasons with the 49ers before moving on to the Patriots and Raiders. He won a Super Bowl in 2018 with New England and has one Pro Bowl under his belt.

Brown will attempt to get the Bengals past the AFC North defending champion Baltimore Ravens for a deep playoff run in 2024.
