Hurricanes defeat Flyers 3-2 in overtime.

(AP) — RALEIGH, N.C. Seth Jarvis’ goal 1:28 into overtime helped the Carolina Hurricanes defeat Philadelphia 3-2 on Thursday night, maintaining goalie Frederik Andersen’s perfect record since his comeback.

Jarvis scored his 26th goal to help Carolina win five games in a row.

After a lengthy hiatus, Andersen improved to 5-0-0 with 30 saves. The Hurricanes’ goals came from Jalen Chatfield and Jordan Martinook in the second half.

Philadelphia’s goals came from Scott Laughton and Travis Konecny, but the Flyers dropped their third straight game. Samuel Ersson, the goalie, made 30 saves.

At 9:44 left in regulation, Konecny scored his team-high 28th goal. He had not scored in a month, but that only amounted to six goalless games because he missed six games in that time.
