Manchester City might be considering a move to acquire a £60 million player who is also sought after by Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.
Tottenham recently strengthened their center-back options by acquiring Radu Dragusin from Genoa. Despite joining in January, the 22-year-old hasn’t had much playing time yet, but he did start in their recent match against Fulham. Nevertheless, Spurs are expected to seek another center-back option this summer, as Ange Postecoglou hinted at the possibility of signing a defender. One player consistently linked with a move to Spurs is Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton, reportedly advocated for by Postecoglou himself. Tottenham faces competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid for Branthwaite, and now Manchester City has joined the race as well.
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester City is monitoring Branthwaite’s situation at Everton. With several top clubs interested in him, City has also expressed interest. However, Everton’s valuation of £60 million could pose an obstacle for Manchester United, who were previously seen as front-runners, along with Spurs and Real Madrid.
