Report: Millwall Secures 3-0 Victory Against Under 21s.

United’s Under 21s suffered a defeat against Millwall, the PDL South leaders, at Chesterfield as three rapid goals towards the end of the first half sealed the fate of what had been a hard-fought encounter for the Blades.Millwall announce signing of Arsenal defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy on season-long loan deal - Southwark News

A youthful United lineup, featuring Billy Blacker, Zain Tahir, and Jack Waldron, among others, began energetically and had a goal disallowed early on when Tahir was deemed offside before his cross found Fernando Macedo’s head.

Despite Millwall’s threat on the counter, United continued to dominate, with Louie Marsh coming close with a low effort narrowly missing the target. Levis Pitan went even closer, heading Jay Tinsdale’s corner just wide. However, Millwall capitalized on their chances as Abdul Abdulmalik broke the deadlock with a well-placed shot.

Although Pitan made a crucial block to prevent a second goal, two quick goals before halftime cemented Millwall’s lead. Shamar Lawson and Tom Leahy found the net in quick succession, leaving United with a mountain to climb in the second half.

While the Blades managed to limit Millwall to half-chances in the second half, they struggled to trouble Millwall’s goalkeeper, Ethan Wady. Late substitutions, including Archie Christie-Crainie and Seth Okyere, injected fresh energy into United’s attack, but they couldn’t find a breakthrough.

The match ended with United focusing on salvaging pride, with Waldron and Macedo coming close to reducing the deficit, but ultimately falling short.

Blades Lineup: Amissah, Waldron, Tahir, Pitan (Christie-Crainie 52), Barratt, Easton, Tinsdale, Hampson, Macedo, Marsh (Okyere 76), Blacker.
Unused Subs: Faxon, Kiwomya, Blaize.
