Will Jeffress bids farewell to Pitt.

Former Pitt Panthers forward William Jeffress has officially confirmed speculations by announcing his departure from the school where he committed two years ago out of high school. He expressed his decision to explore other opportunities in the transfer portal and took to Twitter to pen a heartfelt farewell to the program and its fans.

“In arriving on campus, I set two significant goals for myself: to contribute to the growth of the Pitt Men’s Basketball program and to graduate with my degrees,” Jeffress articulated. “I’m pleased to say that I’ve achieved both of these goals. Your support has meant everything to me. I cannot express enough gratitude, but THANK YOU!! Beginning college at a young age, turning 17 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, my teammates and I encountered numerous challenges both on and off the court. However, we remained resilient. Our mantra was to progressively construct the program, brick by brick, and that’s precisely what we’ve been doing.”
