Before their Old Firm match against Rangers, Celtic have received a “massive” boost after seeing Callum McGregor back in training.

Due to an injury, the Hoops captain has not played since the end of February and was doubtful to take on Philippe Clement’s team at Ibrox on Sunday, April 7.

However, McGregor was seen practicing again for Brendan Rodgers’ team, which was a significant boost for the current champions, with PLZ Soccer describing it as a “massive boost.”

Rangers desire Celtic’s peak performance.

This Sunday’s game is extremely important since the victor is essentially guaranteed to go on and win the SPFL for the 2023–2024 season.

Although there are injury concerns for both clubs going into the match, neither group of supporters wants the other to have any justifications if they win.

To ensure there are no questions or concerns about who the finest team in Scotland is at the moment, both Rangers and Celtic will want their opponent to play at their best and still win.

Although McGregor’s return to fitness for Celtic is exciting news, Clement may also be able to capitalize on it because, after missing so much time, he is unlikely to be fully healthy for a match of this magnitude and significance.

Rangers will have a target right away if he starts the game, but Celtic are weaker if he sits on the bench. The Gers are in a win-win situation, and they need to seize it right now.
