In response to claims that Rangers gave Celtic the title advantage back following their loss to Ross County, Jack Butland has responded.

Despite believing they had two games in hand going into the season and could win the league, the goalie was in between the posts as his team gave up a lead against the Staggies to lose 3-2 and stay four points behind their rivals. The Premiership title race this season was drastically altered by that one loss, but Butland is confident that the Ibrox team can still win the division—and not just once this season.

The England Euro 2024 hopeful stated, “I think we’ve done extremely well to get back to where we are.” “We’ve made progress; we were far off course. If we win tomorrow, the one point (gap) is not insurmountable or unreachable, nor is it something that has never been done before. We don’t worry about it because we know what needs to be done regardless of where the game is being played. Although there have undoubtedly been some problems with this one, tomorrow night will still proceed as planned.
