Rangers intend to increase their offensive output come summertime, as Philippe Clement is expected to have a busy transfer window.

Using the free agent market could be one option to extend the manager’s budget, but he has his work cut out for him between revamping the team and sticking to it.

The Rangers manager may need to act swiftly if he wants to sign a player who has been linked to a transfer to Ibrox.

The well-known Bluenose’s contract with the demoted Sheffield United of the Premier League is over, and this might be his last opportunity to land his ideal Ibrox move:

“I’ve always wanted to play for the Rangers, and I was a huge fan growing up. All that matters is timing.

Hey, this isn’t just any club. Have you visited the Old Firm before? I’ve attended a lot of Old Firms, but I’ve never played or watched a game quite like it. The majority of those who have visited them will agree.

“I hope to play for the Rangers by the time my career ends.” I’m hoping to see that side of things.I don’t if I don’t. However, my goal is to be able to claim that I have played in an Old Firm at some point in my career.

Nixon said McBurnie might not live to see that goal come true.

According to reports, Antalyspor is the team hoping to extend a contract offer to the Scotland international as he heals from a groin injury.

McBurnie is a striker who consistently divides opinion.

Despite being promoted to the Premier League, his £20 million move to the Blades has mostly failed other than this season.

Since goals are how strikers are always evaluated, he hasn’t scored enough.

Although he has scored goals in the past, Rangers need to improve rather than take a chance.

Steven Gerrard was in fine form and had room to grow when he was originally reported to be eager and met with a hungover McBurnie to explore a prospective move.

Since then, he has missed far too many games due to injury and too many times when he hasn’t.

Rangers do not need another striker who is unreliable or cannot be counted on to score goals on a regular basis.

Oli McBurnie is undoubtedly a player who would work himself into the ground for Rangers, but better players are needed if Philippe Clement wants to improve his team.
