Together, the two stated that they will “close gaps on health outcomes” across the state of Indiana. The Indiana Pacers of the NBA already have Lilly as an official partner and as its health equity partner.

A Lilly representative informed Fierce Pharma Marketing that the Fever relationship “provides Lilly with another opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges that individuals face while managing their health” in response to an email request for further information. Lilly will not only have its name on the team’s jerseys but will also have theme evenings and activations during the forthcoming season of the Fever.

Lilly’s chair and CEO, David Ricks, stated in the announcement that “the Fever and Lilly both care deeply about improving health equity in our home state of Indiana, and we are thrilled to partner with the Fever at this exciting moment in women’s sports.” Great teams, as we all know, put forth a lot of effort to improve and reach a shared objective. For our fellow Hoosiers, we at Lilly are excited to work with the Fever to raise awareness and improve health outcomes. Everyone would benefit from that.

Lilly’s signing with the Fever occurs just before the team plays its first preseason game on Friday against the Dallas Wings; the Fever’s regular season begins on May 14 against the Connecticut Sun.

Lilly made a wise decision in teaming up with The Fever since, in addition to being the drugmaker’s hometown team in Indianapolis, it is anticipated to smash attendance records this season with the addition of No. 1 draft pick Caitlin Clark. The Fever has reportedly seen a 13-fold increase in ticket sales since adding her to the roster, and the team is expected to lead the WNBA in the amount of games that are televised nationally.
According to Rick Fuson, CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the Fever, “the excitement surrounding the Fever and women’s basketball means more opportunities for the Fever and partners like Lilly to shine a light on important issues like support for girls in sports and the need for improving health in Indiana communities.” “I am appreciative of Lilly for their continued partnership as they are genuinely global and distinctively Hoosier, much like the game of basketball.”
