Olivier Ntcham’s tenure at Celtic has been a subject of complex emotions and contrasting performances.

Even though he was a talented player under Brendan Rodgers, there were major problems with his relationship with Celtic’s board and management, especially with Neil Lennon.

On the field, Ntcham’s skills were clear to see; he made significant plays when it counted, displaying his brilliance and promise, which many felt could have been further enhanced under other managerial direction.

During the COVID season, he was given a loan move, but things didn’t work out before he could even play since his new management publicly disapproved of him and because PSG supporters turned their backs on him.

Ntcham was adamant about leaving Celtic when he returned, even with the new CEO and manager. Thus, the two of them decided it would be best to tear up his contract.

Ntcham, cited by RecordSport, reflected on these tense ties at Celtic and said, “I had some disagreements with the club because they didn’t want me to leave.” We had a terrible relationship as a result of my leaving in any case. However, I have no negative feelings for Celtic. Ultimately, this is football, and sometimes that’s just how it is. I had a great time there and I wish them the best.
