Rangers first-team trio ruled out for the rest of the seasonPrior to the match against Kilmarnock, Philippe Clement has declared that Danilo, Oscar Cortes, and Connor Goldson of the Rangers would not be playing again this season.

The manager stated during the pre-game press conference on May 3 that Goldson had missed practice due to a knee ligament injury he had sustained earlier in the week.

Long-term absentees Danilo and Cortes are also not anticipated to return before the campaign ends, according to Clement, which deals a serious blow to the Ibrox club’s hopes of winning the championship.

“Connor (Goldson) suffered a serious knee injury during practice on Wednesday. Following a scan, he will miss the remainder of the season,” he stated.

“It is a major setback; he was among the leaders and has played 48 games this season. He told me he wanted to be in the lads’ changing room, encouraging them.

Ranger’s “big blow” came prior of the Kilmarnock match.

This bizarre injury curse has struck once more, just as the Rangers appeared to be welcome back injured players to compete for the regular season’s championship.

Although Goldson has been a consistent player for many years, hardly missing any games, he will now miss a considerable amount of time due to injury, while Cortes and Danilo had hoped to play again before the season concluded.

Since taking over for Michael Beale at the beginning of the season, Clement has been had to deal with serious injury issues; going forward, he will have to deal with them once more in the final five games of the season.

But in the end, the team experiences no difference. Rangers have a fantastic chance to win the treble if they win all six of their remaining games, which include the cup final and the remaining five league games.

For those games, the starting lineup will need to consist entirely of motivated players; if not, those players are obviously at the wrong club.

In other Rangers news, a £20 million sale has already been suggested, and the team is hopeful about finalizing a “unbelievable” transfer transaction.
