It appears that the much anticipated acquisition of Reading FC is getting closer to completion. That comes after a Football Insider article stated that a deal has now been agreed for the Swiss company Chiron Sports Group to purchase the team from Dai Yongge. The Royals have been on the market for a while following a tumultuous and challenging spell under Yongge, which resulted in multiple fines from the football authorities and raised doubts about the club’s continued survival.
But according to a rumor from March, Chiron had started exclusive talks to purchase the team and ensure its continued existence. According to the most recent report, the company has signed a deal with Yongge to purchase Reading FC, and in order to finalize their intended takeover of the League One team, they will now have to pass the EFL’s Fit and Proper Persons test.
