A second individual has been arrested for discharging a firearm during an incident that injured Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell.

Seminole County deputies identified 20-year-old Chase Gavin Gillespie as the second shooter involved in the altercation.

The shooting took place early in the morning on April 28 at Cabana Live in Sanford, near Dell’s hometown of Daytona Beach. The event, which attracted around 200 attendees and was promoted as “No One Leaves Sober,” saw deputies responding to the crowd size when they heard gunfire.

Nine people, including Dell, who was shot in the leg, were treated for injuries related to the shooting.

Deputies apprehended one of the suspected shooters, 16-year-old Christopher Bouie, at the scene. The second shooter remained unidentified until Gillespie’s arrest on Thursday.

The bullet passed through Dell’s leg without causing structural or permanent damage. Dell has since fully recovered and returned to practice in preparation for his second NFL season.

Dell had a strong start in his rookie year, accumulating over 700 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games.
