Three players from the OU softball team enter the transfer portal
Oklahoma sophomore infielder Avery Hodge, redshirt sophomore utility player Quincee Lilio, and redshirt freshman pitcher SJ Geurin entered the transfer portal on Monday.
Avery Hodge and Quincee Lilio, both infielders from Oklahoma, have entered the transfer portal. Hodge, who stood out in the 2024 WCWS, has a career batting average of .278 over 114 games and 97 at-bats. Lilio has a career batting average of .211 in 88 games and 71 at-bats.
Hodge became the primary second baseman for the Sooners during the Women’s College World Series after Alynah Torres was injured against UCLA on June 1.
In 2024, Hodge batted .284 with no home runs and nine RBIs in 25 games started, recording four hits in 10 at-bats over the final four games of the season. Lilio batted .129 with one home run and five RBIs while starting in two games. Geurin pitched 10 innings in 2024, allowing four hits, one run, three walks, and striking out nine. In nine relief appearances, Geurin had a 0.70 ERA.
With 10 seniors departing, three players entering the transfer portal, and eight freshmen signed in the 2024 class, the Sooners now have five open roster spots.
