Tennessee Volunteers offensive tackle Lance Heard is consistently ranked among the top transfers of the offseason.
Heard, a massive addition to the team at 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds, was a standout transfer. Known for his ideal size for a left tackle, he was one of the top offensive linemen in the 2023 recruiting class and initially signed with the LSU Tigers.
After completing his true freshman season, Heard entered the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining. Tennessee presented a strong opportunity in a competitive conference and had also signed his cousin, Jeremias Heard, in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
