Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson stands to benefit from increased playing time if given the chance, a possibility that could materialize if the Tennessee Titans move to acquire him from the New York Giants in the coming weeks.
Robinson’s football journey began at Nebraska, where he showcased versatility as a threat both in rushing and receiving. Following a promising 2019 season, he transferred to Kentucky, solidifying his reputation as one of the nation’s top receivers.
In 2021, Robinson set new school records with 104 receptions for 1,334 yards, contributing significantly to Kentucky’s Citrus Bowl victory. His outstanding college career caught the attention of the New York Giants, who drafted him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Despite facing challenges such as a knee injury and ACL tear during his rookie season, Robinson made an immediate impact for the Giants. He demonstrated his playmaking skills, notably shining in a Week 14 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
In 2023, Robinson rebounded with 60 receptions for 525 yards and two touchdowns, establishing himself as a key player in the Giants’ offensive scheme. Entering his third professional season at 22 years old, he is poised to build on his strong start and emerge as one of the NFL’s most dynamic young receivers.
The Tennessee Titans have been identified as a potential destination for Wan’Dale Robinson in an intriguing trade proposal. Despite Robinson showing flashes of brilliance for the Giants, there is speculation within the front office about possibly exploring trade options in the coming months. Kristopher Knox, in an article for Bleacher Report, outlined why the Titans should pursue the wide receiver.
“If Robinson continues to see limited playing time leading up to the trade deadline, the Tennessee Titans should act. They recently added Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to complement DeAndre Hopkins, but all three top receivers will be 30 or older by season’s end. Both Hopkins and Boyd are also set to become free agents in 2025. Bringing in another young receiver to develop alongside Treylon Burks and second-year quarterback Will Levis would be a logical move for Tennessee. Robinson fits this profile perfectly given his age of 23 and his prior season with Levis at Kentucky,” Knox wrote.
Robinson’s youth and potential make him an appealing target for the Titans. Should the Giants decide to shop him, Tennessee would be wise to pursue him promptly to strengthen their receiving corps for the long term.
