Georgia target Isaiah Gibson cancels his visit to Oklahoma and is expected to be in Athens instead.
Georgia football’s 2025 edge target, Isaiah Gibson, has canceled his visit to Oklahoma and is expected to return to Athens, Georgia.
The Georgia Bulldogs are working on their 2025 recruiting class, and one of their key targets, Isaiah Gibson, is anticipated to be in Athens this weekend after canceling his visit to Oklahoma. According to reports, the five-star recruit decommitted from the USC Trojans earlier this week.
Gibson had committed to USC in March but is now exploring other options for his commitment. He and Justus Terry were significant additions to the Trojans’ recruiting class, but both have since decommitted. Gibson is rated as a five-star prospect, the 36th-best player in the country, and the second-best at his position, according to 247 Sports composite rankings.
Regarding his relationship with UGA OLBs coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe, Gibson said, “I mostly got to talk to coach Uzo-Diribe. We always have good conversations. I mean, we are like brothers. We talk every other day and have a good relationship. So yeah, I’ve talked to him mostly outside of Coach Schumann.”
