2024 NASCAR Chicago Street Race: Take a look at this year’s course layout

Summer is now in full swing, and the second NASCAR Chicago Street Race is approaching quickly, with officials hoping for better weather as stock cars race past some of the city’s iconic landmarks.

Street closures have already started in preparation for the event, and this year’s course features 12 turns with viewing areas throughout, providing attendees with unique perspectives of the action.

The layout begins on Columbus Drive, giving spectators views of Grant Park and Lake Michigan as the race starts. Drivers head south before turning left onto Balbo Drive, moving towards Lake Michigan.

From there, the course continues south onto DuSable Lake Shore Drive until it reaches Roosevelt Road. At Roosevelt, drivers will need to make two quick turns to return to Columbus Drive and head north.
