In Fayetteville, the connection between Katy, Texas, and the Arkansas softball program strengthened as the Razorbacks secured a notable addition from the transfer portal. Kailey Wyckoff, a versatile player formerly of Texas Tech and a standout from Katy, announced her commitment to Arkansas alongside incoming freshmen Camryn Harrison and Ashtyn Reichardt.

Wyckoff, a 5-7 left-handed batter, garnered attention as the fifth-ranked player in Softball America’s transfer portal rankings. She led Texas Tech with a .407 batting average during her sophomore season, complemented by 7 home runs, 35 RBIs, 12 doubles, 2 triples, and 3 stolen bases. Wyckoff showcased her versatility by playing multiple positions—catcher, first base, right field, and left field—while boasting a .662 slugging percentage and a .482 on-base percentage. Her season included an impressive 24-game on-base streak.

Previously, Wyckoff had earned accolades such as D1 Softball Freshman All-American and Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023 after hitting .393 with 9 home runs, 31 RBIs, and a conference-leading 5 triples as a freshman.

Joining Arkansas, Wyckoff reunites with former high school teammates Harrison and Reichardt, who are part of a highly regarded eight-player recruiting class for the Razorbacks. Harrison, recognized as Texas’ Gatorade Player of the Year, excelled both as a pitcher with a 0.53 ERA and 232 strikeouts, and as a batter with a .500 average, 10 home runs, and 47 RBIs. Reichardt, known for her prowess in the outfield, posted impressive offensive stats including a .560 batting average, 11 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases during her high school career.

The Razorbacks’ recruiting class, ranked fifth nationally by Extra Innings, also includes standout pitchers Lexi King and Payton Burnham, as well as position players Ella McDowell, Ava Carter, Jayden Ramos, and Ramsey Walker.
