Prediction Made for Douglas Utu to Commit to Tennessee Football
Douglas Utu, a four-star offensive lineman from Las Vegas, Nevada, made an official visit to the Tennessee Volunteers this past weekend.
Hailing from Bishop Gorman High School, Utu traveled from California to explore Tennessee’s campus. The Vols’ coaching staff has worked diligently to make Utu feel at home in Knoxville.
Ranked as the No. 53 prospect in the 2025 class by the On3 Industry Rankings, Utu has attracted interest from top programs like Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington. This list has narrowed during his official visits. On3’s Steve Wiltfong has predicted that Tennessee is likely to secure Utu’s commitment following his visit, placing the Vols as the current frontrunners.
Offensive line coach Glen Elarbee has focused on several interior linemen for the 2025 recruiting cycle, with Utu being a primary target. Adding Utu would solidify a strong class, complementing other elite tackle prospects still in contention, such as David Sanders Jr. from Providence Day School.
