Florida’s football recruiting secures a second RPM prediction for Naeshaun Montgomery.

The Florida football program has seen significant success this month following the conclusion of the summer official visit season. Head coach Billy Napier and his staff have made substantial strides in recruiting, with major scouting agencies indicating that the Gators are well-positioned to land top recruits for the 2025 cycle. Recent recruiting projections, including a second one from On3 for four-star wide receiver Naeshaun Montgomery from Miami Central, underscore Florida’s positive momentum.

On Monday, Gators Online’s Corey Bender added another recruiting prediction from On3’s machine for Montgomery, a 6-foot-1-inch, 165-pound receiver.

Bender’s rationale for Florida’s projection is clear: “After discussions on Monday, I am increasingly confident in the strong position of the Florida Gators,” he stated. “This is partly due to Montgomery’s status with Penn State. While he is a prospect of interest to the Nittany Lions, they have several other receivers higher on their priority list. Ideally, they would prefer Montgomery to wait before making a decision.”

Montgomery himself has expressed enthusiasm towards Florida, particularly after his official visit. “I’m a priority for them and I believe I can make an immediate impact as a freshman, working with DJ Lagway,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons. “My interest in Florida has always been high, but the visit definitely raised it even more.”

In terms of rankings, Montgomery is positioned at No. 172 overall and No. 19 among receivers nationally in the 247Sports composite, while On3 ranks him at No. 243 overall and No. 35 at his position. According to 247Sports, both Florida and Penn State have received crystal ball predictions, with Penn State holding a 75% favorability compared to Florida’s 25%. However, On3’s RPM gives Florida a substantial lead with an 87.3% chance of signing Montgomery, followed by Miami Hurricanes (3.5%), Penn State (2.57%), and LSU (1.7%).
