D2 All-American Carson Boles Commits to Arkansas Baseball
Arkansas and head coach Dave Van Horn have secured another transfer commitment, this time from Division II athlete Carson Boles. The outfielder from Lincoln Memorial University started all 49 games this year, tallying 72 hits in 201 at-bats, resulting in a .358 batting average. His impressive stats include six home runs, three triples, and 15 doubles, contributing to 39 runs for the season. Boles also recorded 18 multi-hit games and stole six bases. Notably, he hit for the cycle against Emory & Henry.
Carson Boles announced his commitment to Arkansas on June 26th at 8:40 P.M. on X/Twitter.
Boles, a Lebanon High School alum from Tennessee, was ranked as the 31st shortstop in the state by Perfect Game. At LMU, he played in the outfield and earned First Team All-American honors from D2CCA.
During an April 6 game against Emory & Henry, Boles went 4 for 6 with two doubles, one home run, and seven RBIs. On April 17, he hit a game-winning home run in the 10th inning to secure a 4-3 victory over third-ranked North Greenville.
Boles spent three seasons at LMU, located in Harrogate, Tennessee.
He is the 14th transfer to commit to Arkansas this offseason and the first from the Division II level. The Razorbacks have also committed eight players from Division I and five from junior colleges.
If developed well, Boles could be a valuable addition to the Razorbacks. Only time will tell.
