The Tennessee Volunteers were snubbed in the latest rankings of top-rated teams in the upcoming EA College Football 25 video game.

Typically, the college football offseason is a quiet period for fans, who eagerly await the excitement of the new season. However, this offseason is different, as college football video games are making a comeback, generating widespread anticipation among fans.

After unveiling the toughest places to play and providing an inside look at the game’s sights and sounds, EA has now released the top-rated teams for both offense and defense, leaving the Tennessee Volunteers wanting a say. In the offensive ratings reveal, the Volunteers didn’t even make it into the top 25.

While it’s understandable to have concerns about Tennessee’s offense with a new starting quarterback this year, excluding them from the top 25 seems excessive. This is especially true when a team like Colorado, which ranked in the lower half of offensive statistics last season, is in the top 10.

One thing Heupel has consistently demonstrated during his time with the Volunteers is his ability to produce one of the best offenses in the country. Although 2023 had its ups and downs, Heupel’s offenses excel with strong quarterback play, and it appears Nico Iamaleava will provide just that for the Volunteers.
