Arkansas Razorbacks make headlines by securing commitment from 4-star linebacker Tavion Wallace
The Arkansas Razorbacks desperately needed a win this offseason.
After a disappointing 2023 season, head coach Sam Pittman is under significant pressure to perform this year. If the team struggles again, he might be looking for a new job in 2025.
Fortunately for Pittman and his staff, the Razorbacks secured an important victory in recruiting. On3’s Hayes Fawcett announced on X that 4-star linebacker Tavion Wallace has committed to Arkansas.
BREAKING: Elite 2025 LB Tavion Wallace has Committed to Arkansas, he tells me for @on3recruits
The 6’1 220 LB from Jesup, GA chose the Razorbacks over Florida State, Georgia, & Florida

This commitment is a major surprise for Arkansas. On3 had given Wallace only a 1.0 percent chance of choosing Arkansas, with Florida State being the clear favorite. Even Florida and Georgia were considered more likely destinations for Wallace.
Wallace, a 4-star linebacker from Jesup, Georgia, is widely regarded as a top-60 recruit in the 2025 class. He is the younger brother of former Kentucky Wildcats linebacker Trevin Wallace, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round this past April.
Wallace is the standout recruit in Pittman’s 2025 class. The next highest-rated recruit is 4-star quarterback Grayson Wilson, who is ranked 343rd nationally by On3.
Overall, the recruiting class is disappointing for Pittman, ranking 26th nationally and 12th in the SEC.
Wallace’s commitment will provide Pittman with some short-term relief from the fan base. However, Razorbacks fans expect more than a four-win season in 2024.
If Arkansas fails to qualify for a bowl game for the second consecutive season, both boosters and fans will be calling for a coaching change immediately after the season ends.
