Four-star defensive back target Ladarian Clardy includes the Noles in his list of top schools.
Florida State football currently has one defensive back committed for their 2025 recruiting class: four-star cornerback Gregory “Zae” Thomas from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Their target list includes four-star prospects Ben Hanks Jr., Jaboree Antoine, Onis Konanbanny, Jett White, Jordan Young, Bryce Fitzgerald, and three-star Max Redmon.
The coaching staff is focused on securing top-tier talent for the position. One key recruit to watch is four-star safety Ladarian Clardy from Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida.
On Saturday afternoon, Clardy released his top ten schools list, which included Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, UCF, Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Colorado, and Washington.
Clardy has made official visits to UCF (May 31), Florida State (June 7), Mississippi State (June 14), and Ole Miss (June 21). He also has an upcoming visit with the Miami Hurricanes on July 27.
Clardy received a crystal ball prediction favoring the Seminoles, as well as one for Ole Miss. Following the Florida State prediction, he visited Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
Ole Miss recently secured commitments from four-star safeties Cortez Thomas and Keon Young. Mississippi State has two safety prospects, three-stars Lo’Javion Johnson and Sekou Smith Jr.
UCF also has two four-star safeties in their class, Tony Williams (still in communication with FSU) and Kendarius Reddick. The Miami Hurricanes could be a significant contender for Clardy since they currently do not have a safety prospect committed and he will visit them on July 27.
Overall, Florida State needs to secure Clardy’s commitment before his visit to Coral Gables.
