Dan Campbell’s face is now immortalized as art. The Detroit Lions’ head coach, in his fourth year, is becoming even more legendary in Michigan. His face, wearing a “GRIT” hat and surrounded by a lion’s mane, along with the team’s slogans “Go Lions” and “One Pride,” has been carved into a corn maze somewhere in mid-Michigan, likely near Williamston. Although it was mistakenly identified as the Bestmaze Corn Maze, the park clarified on Facebook that it was not their design.

The Facebook post stated: “The artwork is FANTASTIC! But we always design a maze for ‘best maze flow and maze experience,’ not ‘best maze pic.’ The location of that maze will be doing an announcement soon, I will just say they are close by.”

Last season, Campbell led the Lions to their best performance in 32 years, including two playoff victories, which doubled their total playoff wins from 1958 to 2022. The Lions begin their 2024 training camp with their first full-team practice on Wednesday. Their preseason starts on August 8 against the New York Giants, and they kick off the regular season on September 8 with a “Sunday Night Football” game at Ford Field against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams in a wild-card rematch.
