One of the nation’s top prospects in the 2025 recruiting class is close to making a decision.
Five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi has announced his commitment date for August 21. He will choose between Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Oregon. Currently, the Longhorns are favored to secure his commitment with a 63.4% chance.
Fasusi is a key target for Texas in the 2025 cycle and is ranked as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country by 247Sports composite. The Lewisville (TX) standout took an official visit to Austin on June 21 and has also visited Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood has a strong track record of developing offensive linemen, and Fasusi is a talent who could immediately step in at left tackle.
The Longhorns currently hold the No. 16 recruiting class in the nation. If they land Fasusi, he would become the highest-rated player in the class and their first five-star commit for 2025.
