Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James became just the third player in Olympic history to score 300 or more points for Team USA Basketball during their 103-86 victory over Team South Sudan on Wednesday. By achieving this milestone, the four-time league MVP joined Hall of Famer and former Laker Carmelo Anthony, and future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.

However, James seemed more focused on the victory than the milestone, according to Aris Barkas of Eurohoops. The 6-foot-9 superstar aims to secure his third Olympic gold medal and his fourth Olympic medal overall.

“Oh, not much,” James said when asked about the significance of his achievement. “At the end of the day, I just want to win. I’m here to win and win the gold, and that’s my only mindset. It’s not about scoring or any of the stats. It’s about the little things that don’t show up in the stats, like closing out, getting hockey assists, and stopping guys from crashing the glass. It’s an honor to hear your name in the record books, but I’m here for a bigger picture.”

In the game, James scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting, made 2-of-3 free throws, and added seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

Next up for the 2-0 Team USA, which also includes Lakers All-Star center Anthony Davis, is a matchup against Team Puerto Rico on Friday.
