Former Oklahoma Sooners pitcher Alex Storako is once again staying close to home to continue her professional softball career. Storako was a standout transfer portal addition for head coach Patty Gasso during OU’s 2023 season. She played a key role in the Sooners’ pursuit of their third national title in the ongoing four-peat run.

In her one season in Norman, Storako was an essential part of OU’s pitching staff, securing important wins early in the year and starting in the championship-clinching game. She finished her time at Oklahoma with an 18-0 record, accumulating 108 strikeouts in 103.2 innings and maintaining an impressive 1.15 ERA.

Following her outstanding performance, Storako was selected as the first overall pick by the OKC Spark in the 2023 WPF draft. Now, she’ll be returning to the Spark for the 2025 season, along with OU legend Kinzie Hansen behind the plate.

Though her time at OU was brief, Storako earned the admiration of fans as she helped lead the Sooners to a historic season. Those same fans will now have the chance to watch her continue her career in Oklahoma City.
