Breaking News: Megadeth cancel a concert hours before taking the stage in Virginia because they was in ………..

On Sunday afternoon, fans of the thrash metal band Megadeth were stunned and disheartened when the band abruptly canceled their concert at Virginia Credit Union Live in Henrico.

“Due to unforeseen and unpredictable circumstances, our show TONIGHT, Sunday, September 15th, in Richmond, Virginia, has been canceled and will not be rescheduled,” the band announced on social media.

The cancellation notice was shared about two hours before the venue was set to open, leaving many fans, some of whom had traveled from other states, disappointed.

Compounding the confusion, the venue initially posted the cancellation news on its social media but then removed it before eventually sharing the band’s announcement.

Ashley Jamison commented on the CBS 6 Facebook post, “That’s crazy. We volunteer there for our organization and some people had already arrived at the venue before it was announced.” April Steeley added, “Just drove by on my way back home and unfortunately, people were still pulling up to the big concert canceled sign.”

Megadeth’s post did not provide details about the “unexpected and unpredictable circumstances” leading to the cancellation, and no further information has been released. The Virginia Credit Union Live, which has a capacity of about 6,000, still had tickets available on the morning of the show.

The band had performed without incident at venues in Bethel and Long Island, New York, on Friday and Saturday, respectively, and these venues are larger than the one in Richmond.

There has been no update on Megadeth’s September 17 concert in Cincinnati. Peter Frampton is scheduled to perform at Virginia Credit Union Live on Tuesday.

Refunds are available for those who purchased Megadeth tickets through AXS online, by phone, or at the venue box office.

The cancellation message from Megadeth concluded with, “We deeply regret this cancellation and hope to see you at another venue soon.”
