The NFL has initiated an investigation after a video surfaced showing Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown having a drink thrown on him by a fan following their 34-24 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Brown, who scored two touchdowns during the game, was walking off the field at Bank of America Stadium when the incident occurred. The footage shows a clear liquid being poured on his head from the stands above.
Brown did not react to the incident, continuing to walk toward the locker room, while Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki, who witnessed it, also remained unfazed. After reviewing the footage, Brown expressed his surprise and urged fans not to engage in such behavior, saying, “Please don’t pour drinks on us. Nobody wants that.”
The NFL is working to identify the individual responsible, and the league has warned that any fan found guilty of unruly conduct could face a lifetime ban.
