Tennessee Vols linebacker Keenan Pili is one of the few players on the roster with experience against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Tennessee last faced Arkansas in 2020 during the COVID-impacted season, but Pili, who transferred from BYU to Tennessee in 2023, played against the Razorbacks in 2022. In that game, Arkansas defeated BYU 52-35.
When asked about his previous matchup with Arkansas, Pili admitted that the loss left a bad taste in his mouth. He expressed excitement for the upcoming game, saying, “Obviously the last time I played them left a bad taste. They had a good game plan, and you could tell they were well-coached and disciplined. I’m excited for the matchup and what we can prepare for this time around.”
During BYU’s 2022 loss to Arkansas, Pili recorded five tackles and a fumble recovery. While there’s no personal grudge against Arkansas, the veteran linebacker is eager to move past that previous loss.
