Bengals legend Willie Anderson asserts that the Hall of Fame exhibits a ‘bias’ against right tackles.
He stated, “I think this has been misrepresented. Many people have the wrong perception because scouts emphasize ‘left tackle,’ but in football, both tackles are crucial. I still believe right tackles are unfairly overlooked.”
In a July interview on “Up & Adams,” Anderson suggested that the film “The Blind Side” might be contributing to his exclusion from the Hall of Fame, noting that it focused heavily on left tackles. He mentioned using that example to highlight the portrayal of left tackles in the sport.
