The 21-year-old forward, who made a permanent move to Sturm Graz this summer after a successful loan, has been in outstanding form, netting nine goals and providing two assists in 14 domestic matches this season.

His recent hat-trick against RB Salzburg highlighted his growth and showcased the attacking talent that initially attracted Arsenal. He also contributed a goal and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Grazer AK 1902 this weekend.

Despite his desire to possibly return to Arsenal, Biereth stays grounded. “A transfer back to Arsenal would be amazing,” he told TV2, “but it’s not my main focus right now. If I continue to perform well and score, a move might happen, but for now, I’m concentrating on my work at Sturm and finding success there.”

Biereth’s career at Arsenal never gained traction at the senior level. The Danish striker joined from Fulham in 2021 after impressing in their youth system. Although he was included in several senior matchday squads for Arsenal, he never made a first-team appearance.

He then went on loan to RKC Waalwijk and Kilmarnock, but it was his loan at Sturm Graz in January 2024 that provided him the opportunity to truly excel.

During that time, Biereth contributed to Sturm’s domestic double, scoring nine goals in 22 matches and quickly winning the fans’ admiration.

The success of his loan led to a permanent transfer being a logical next step, prompting the Austrian club to act swiftly and secure his services for approximately £4 million, which set a club record.

Arsenal included a substantial sell-on clause in the agreement, clearly acknowledging Biereth’s potential future value.

Now under contract with Sturm Graz until 2028, Biereth is flourishing. The league leaders are relying on him to maintain his performance during their title defense, and he is committed to proving his abilities in every game.
