Here’s what Sam Pittman shared following the lopsided loss to Ole Miss.

In Fayetteville, the Arkansas Razorbacks (5-4, 3-3 SEC) suffered another tough loss on their home field at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, falling to No. 19 Ole Miss (7-2, 3-2 SEC) with a score of 63-31. This marks their fifth loss in six SEC games at home.

Ole Miss’s offense had a record-breaking performance. Quarterback Jaxson Dart passed for 515 yards and six touchdowns, five of which were caught by receiver Jordan Watkins, who tallied eight receptions for 254 yards. Watkins now holds the Arkansas record for most receiving yards and touchdowns against the Razorbacks, while Dart’s 515 passing yards set a new milestone for Ole Miss.

Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green sustained a right leg injury in the first half, which affected his performance. He played through the first half but was replaced by backup Malachi Singleton for the remainder of the game.

Here’s a recap of everything fifth-year head coach Sam Pittman shared following the loss to Ole Miss.

Opening Statement)

“Obviously give credit to Ole Miss,” Pittman said. “Jaxson Dart was incredible. Watkins was — couldn’t cover him. We’ve got a long way to go, a lot of work to do. Disappointed in the way we played, our kids are disappointed in the way we played. But we’re going to have to get healthy, have a good week next week moving on. Very disappointed. I felt like we had them ready to play. Obviously that wasn’t the case.”
