The New England Patriots are receiving inquiries about cornerback Christian Gonzalez as the NFL trade deadline approaches, according to NFL insider Josina Anderson. However, Gonzalez is not available for trade.

Anderson stated, “The Patriots have received multiple calls on cornerback Christian Gonzalez. He’s not for sale, but they find it amusing.”

Gonzalez, a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, showed great promise despite an injury-shortened rookie season. Now fully recovered in his second year, he’s impressively matched up against top wide receivers, earning recognition for Pro Bowl and NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Though his value in a trade would be substantial, the Patriots consider Gonzalez a crucial part of their rebuilding efforts and have no intention of trading him. However, they are still exploring potential deals to strengthen their roster, particularly in the wide receiver, defensive tackle, and offensive tackle positions.

The trade deadline is set for 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 5, with the Patriots facing the Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
