Tennessee Volunteers are close to poaching a commitment from Lincoln Riley and USC.

This would be a huge in-state get for the Vols.

Tennessee Vols on Verge of Flipping Commit from Lincoln Riley and USC

Landing this recruit would be a major in-state win for the Vols.

While Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans are already facing a challenging season, it’s not stopping Tennessee Volunteers and coach Josh Heupel from pursuing USC’s committed players. USC stands at 4-5 after a recent loss to Washington in Week 10.

Meanwhile, Tennessee, now 7-1, secured an exciting win over Kentucky at Neyland Stadium, where numerous recruits attended, including 4-star running back Daune Morris, currently pledged to the Trojans.

The Tennessee native has recently felt increased attention from Heupel and his team. Recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong has even predicted that Morris might flip his commitment, marking a significant victory for Heupel in keeping this talented player close to home.

However, the Tennessee native has been feeling the love from Heupel and his staff of late. Things went so well for the 4-star running back during his visit, recruiting guru Steve Wiltfong has already put in a prediction that he’ll flip. This would be a huge win for Heupel if he can keep the speedster in state.

Will 4-star RB Daune Morris flip from USC to Tennessee?

In an interview with Vols 247, Morris revealed that he’s already set his official visit to Knoxville for Nov. 23. So, less than a day after seeing Tennessee defeat Kentucky, he was planning a return trip to campus? That says a lot if you ask us.

Over the course of his recruitment, Morris, standing at 5-10 and 185 pounds, has received over 30 scholarship offers. His options include Tennessee, USC, Auburn, Kentucky, Duke, Colorado, Florida, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and many more. Clearly, this young talent is in high demand.

Morris made official visits to USC and Auburn over the summer and committed to Riley and the Trojans in April. However, it now appears he could decommit sooner rather than later. If that happens, Tennessee would be in an excellent position to secure his commitment when the Early Signing Period opens. His upcoming visit could be the deciding factor for Heupel and his team.
